BLACK SACRED SOUL | ARTIST SPOTLIGHT

Seeko Siriwayo is a multidisciplinary artist and screen printer whose work blends fashion, storytelling, and community. Raised between cultures and shaped by a global upbringing, his designs pull from hip-hop, early-2000s fashion, music, and lived experience, transforming personal inspiration into wearable art meant to travel far beyond any single space.

After discovering screen printing through a high school internship, Seeko fell in love with the power of putting messages and artwork onto apparel. For him, clothing is a moving canvas. It carries stories into rooms he may never enter and connects people through shared expression. Much of his creative process happens late at night, sparked by music, other designers’ work, and moments of reflection, then reworked into something distinctly his own.

Through Black Sacred Soul, Seeko set out to build more than a clothing brand. He created a safe, welcoming space that centers community, uplifting and supporting BIPOC voices through art and fashion. While his studio is based in Winooski, his work has connected him to local markets, festivals, and city leaders, where he has felt strong support as both a small business owner and a Black creative.

At the core of Seeko’s journey is belief. Belief that passion, knowledge, and commitment can turn a long-held dream into a reality. His message is simple and grounded: if you put your heart into something and give it everything you have, it is possible. Looking ahead, Seeko has his sights set on taking Black Sacred Soul beyond Vermont and into larger creative spaces, with New York Fashion Week standing as a major goal on the horizon.
